You either use a price per person or a price per group depending on your needs. Based on these 2 price systems, your payout after commission will be automatically calculated.
- Go to Products > Manage products > Click the 3 dots icon > Edit details.
- From the Options section, go to Edit Option.
- On the left-hand side menu select Pricing.
- Check the box for price per person or price per group > + Add New pricing.
Note: The system won't allow you to select price per group and price per person in the same option. If you offer both a price per person and a price per group, submit your activity for review, and then create the second pricing set up as an option.
Uploading a Price per Person
Price per person is the type of price system for individual participants. You can use this for public activities.
Once in the pricing section:
- Under Name create a name for your price system. If it is for a specific season or language option, give it a name that relates to this.
- Under Minimum participants per booking, input the minimum number of people required for your product to run. The maximum will be applied to each day of your availability in the agenda.
- Under Retail Price enter the net price you would like to sell at. The GetYourGuide commission is included in this price.
- The commission rate will be deducted from any successful bookings. Payout per person is calculated by deducting the commission from the retail rate per person.
Note: If you set the minimum number of participants to “1”, solo customers will be able to book your product. If you aren’t able to run the product with just 1 person, set the minimum number of participants required to run your product overall. This will help prevent you from having to cancel the product if the minimum number of participants isn’t reached.
Pricing Tiers
Setting up price tiers is optional. Price tiers are scaled prices that allow you to have different prices per person depending on the number of people the customer books. The tiers you enter will be the same for each age group.
For e.g. if you would like to offer a cheaper price for customers who book groups with bigger numbers you could set up a price tier.
The below tiered pricing set up means that if a customer books for 8 people they would need to pay 9€ per person. They would pay 72€ altogether.
Price per Person with Age Groups
If you offer different prices based on the age of your customer you can add different age groups.
- Under Price per person go to Add age group > Select the age group you need.
- From the drop-down select the age range for each age group.
- Under Retail Price change the price to your desired price for that age group.
- Under Booking category check the box for your desired price. For explanations on the different booking categories hover your computer mouse over the information symbol.
- Go to Save.
Note: the system requires you to create groups that cover the full age range from 0 - 99. Select "Not Permitted" for an age group that you want to prevent bookings for.
Price per Group
Price per group means that customers pay one price for the whole group. This price system works well for private activities such as private vehicle transfers.
Once on the pricing section:
- Under Name create a name for your price system. If it is for a specific season or language option, give it a name that relates to this.
- Maximum groups per time slot: This is the maximum number of groups that you offer at the same time. For e.g., this could reflect the number of tour guides that you have available or the number of vehicles you can provide.
- Under Retail Price, enter the net price you would like to sell at/ the customer can purchase at. The GetYourGuide commission is included in this price.
- The commission rate will be deducted from any successful bookings. Payout per group is calculated by deducting the commission from the retail rate per group.
For e.g., if your customer books for 12 people in 1 time slot they would be split into 3 groups of 5 people and pay 3 x 100€ = 300€.
Additional Persons
This set up is useful if you want to combine a group price with a price per person.
- Under Group, check the box next to Additional persons.
- Under Number of People input the maximum number of additional people that can book.
- Any booking with people over the maximum number of people in the group will be calculated as an extra price per person.
- The commission rate will be deducted from any successful bookings.
For e.g., if your customer books up to 5 people in 1 booking they will pay the price per group. 1 group x 100€ = 100€.
If your customer books for 12 people in 1 booking, they'll pay the price per group plus the price per additional person (1 group of 5 people = 100€) + (7 x 10€ per person) = 170€.
Adding an Additional Group Size
Use this to charge a different price per group size. Use this setup if you want to use price tiers within a group.
- Go to Add additional group size.
- Input the number of people for each group size you offer.
- Input the Retail price you charge per group size.
- The commission rate will be deducted from any successful bookings. Payout per group is calculated by deducting the commission from the retail rate per group.
For e.g., if a customer wants to book for 12 people the price will be: 1 group x 200€ = 200€.
